Please check in often to see what's new as I begin this endeavor to recover our urban trees and expand our urban forest... should be interesting.
What a great weekend! I worked with Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest on Saturday, and we planted 15 trees. Today, I took a trip over to the the Frick museum, and ended up collecting seeds from the grounds...fifty beech tree seeds and a few for the European horse chestnut. And since it was so nice out, I then stopped in Frick Park and planted 5 of the beech and a cemetery oak acorn I had.
Well, that's it for now....I have a busy week ahead of me, so let's see how I do keeping this up-to-date!
